We went from a round trash can to the more sleek, long thin design which works well for us. Changing out the bag is simple and the way it is designed it stays in place, which is nice. We've gotten used to the automatic lid and like it very much. We feel we got a great value.

Lid only stays open for a limited amount of time. When clearing dishes that may take longer to dispose the contents of, the lid will close while I'm still in the process of clearing the dish. Their should be a sensor that acknowledges a hand or dish or something is still underneath the lid.
However, I still like the product, it has great capacity and the open sensor works well. The garbage bag retainer is key also.

I bought this for my kitchen and just love it. The bag holder inside holds the bag tightly so nothing "escapes" into the can interior. The lid closes tightly so no odors escape. It opens within a second of nearing the sensor. There is an on/off switch on the back for easy bag changing. I think it is a very sanitary system, besides, it is just adorable!
